Babysitting Service/Temporary Placements

Rent A Mom provides nannies for short-term assignments: a day (5 hour minimum of pay per weekday); an evening (4 hour minimum of pay per evening), a week, a weekend, 24 hour assignments, or even a few months, Rent A Mom can place a nanny or companion for you. We have hourly, daily and special rates for longer assignments, to include the following: NEWBORNS ON UP; MOM'S/DAD'S HELPER; HOTEL GUESTS; VACATIONS/BUSINESS TRIPS; BACKUP CHILDCARE/REPLACING AN ILL OR VACATIONING NANNY; CHURCH/SYNAGOGUE NURSERIES; OR JUST A DAY OFF OR AN EVENING OUT!

Our temporary services are very popular! When requesting a temporary caregiver please allow us adequate time (at least 24-48 hours!) for meeting your needs. (Occasionally we can get an assignment filled the day of!) Feel free to request a particular caregiver and we will check her availability. When you meet a caregiver who you like please call the agency to request her back and not the sitter directly. We are always recruiting new, qualified caregivers, so the greater the notice, the better we may satisfy your particular needs. Client Information: Agency Fees & Nanny/Babysitter salaries for Temporary Service only

Daily Rent A Mom Agency Fees for Temporary Services

Annual Membership is $75 and is optional.  With the Membership, Client's daily agency fees are reduced as follows: Daytime assignments, reduced from $21 to $16 per day per nanny; Evening assignments (after 5pm), reduced from $18 to $13 per evening per nanny.

(Non-Member rates are as follows: Weekdays: $21 per day per caregiver; Evenings (after 5pm), $18 per evening per caregiver). ALL AGENCY FEES ARE TYPICALLY PLACED ON A MASTERCARD OR VISA, UNLESS OTHER ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE.

NANNY SALARIES for Basic Childcare Average $12 TO $15 per hour, depending on service provided, number of children, and time of day (evening assignments with children who are ready to go to sleep are usually lower). Mom's/Dad's Helper is $15-$17 per hour depending on responsibilities requested (includes laundry, vacuuming, errands, food shopping, light meal prep, kitchen pickup, etc.);  24 hour rates range from $150-180 per 24 hour period (the rate is hourly if a nanny is working overnight to feed an infant) They are paid by check or cash by local clients; and by cash only for out-of-state clients.

Our success rate at filling temporary assignments is about 95% and our commitment is to offer only the best service possible. We will use our best efforts to fill each assignment, and there is always that rare chance that a request may go unfilled so we apologize in advance.
